Just so everyone knows, this is still happening. I have not forgotten about it and it gives us an excuse to thumb our noses at SOPA and PIPA. Also, the end date is tenative. If I have less than five submissions by thte end of January, then I will extend the dead line an additional month.
Okay, here it is:
This is an art contest centered around my fic, "Luna the Match Maker" (Why? because I'm a greedy bastard pony, that's why.) Also, scenes from Curse of the Werepony are acceptable too since that story is a sort of prequel to this one.
The rules are simple:
Pick any scene from any chapter of the Fic and draw it. Simple huh? That's what you think.
First, send me a note telling me what scene you want to do. First come first serve. If someone else already has dibs on a scene I'll let you know.
Draw it out and submit it to your account and let me know when it's up so I can take a look.
The submissions will be judged using these categories:
Level of Difficulty:
Did the artist draw one or two characters or were they ambitious to draw five or so?
Detail:
Is there sufficient detail in the picture or is it fairly one dimensional? Is there a background? Is the background simple or dynamic?
Following the scene:
Did the artist keep to what was written? (and not put weird things in a shot just for giggles)
Any art medium is allowed be it digital, painted or hand drawn. All images should be NC-17 or less. No R or X rated work will be considered.
CONTEST ENDS FEBRUARY 1, 2012 OR MARCH 1, 2012 IF I RECEIVE LESS THAN FIVE SUBMISSIONS.
Winner will be announced here.
The Prize! Yes, every Contest must have a prize!
First place winner will receive 2000 deviant points
Second Place winner will receive 1000 points
Third place winner will receive 500 points.
Also, if any of you following me run a Deviant art group, I'd really appreciate it if you could help spread the word. I'm looking at you
